The U.S. Club Water Polo Championships organization wishes to thank the following clubs and individuals for their support and assistance during the 2011 Water Polo Championships:  all club administrators, coaches, players, parents, officials and pool hosts.

Additionally, the following clubs and individuals deserve special thanks for their participation and support of our championship events:

  • Kap 7/Turbo and their representative, Brad Schumacher, for sponsoring the championships.

  • CHAWP Water Polo, Xtreme Water Polo, and Riverside Water Polo for co-hosting championship events for the youth teams.

  • Terry Shockley, parent, who filled in wherever and whenever needed, to the extent that she missed watching her own children’s events.

  • Kim James, parent, for taking championship photos at the youth event.

  • Mike Sattler, CHAWP Head Coach, for reporting results, figuring out advancement information and for organizing youth event.

  • Nancy Redd, CHAWP’s webmaster, who provides media support, posts revisions and photographs quickly and efficiently.

  • Corona Springhill Suites for donating meeting rooms and space during the youth championships.

  • Diablo Water Polo and 680 Drivers Water Polo for co-hosting the older girls’ events in Northern California with special note of appreciation to Maureen O’Toole-Purcell from Diablo WP and Todd Halverson from 680 Drivers WP for helping to arrange pools.

  • Ryan Cunnane from 680 Drivers Water Polo Club for assisting with desk staffing.

  • Jeff & Gale Kreek, parents from San Diego Shores/PNW United, who ran the desk and announced most of the girls’ medal round games.

  • The Nueshel family who noticed a need and delayed their long trip home to stay and assist in the cleanup of the Cunningham pool site after older boys’ and girls’ championship.

  • Lamorinda Water Polo Club for hosting the older boys’ water polo championships in Northern California with a special thanks to John Schnugg who coordinated the staffing and most of the logistics for the older boys’ event.

  • Jesse Figueroa for providing the backup clocks to DVC site.

Without the assistance and dedication of all of these exceptional clubs and individuals, the U.S. Club 2011 Water Polo Championships would not have been possible.  Thank you for your support and participation.  We deeply appreciate everything you did.

USCWPC E
stablished by the following clubs:
CHAWP, Commerce, Lamorinda, Los Alamitos, San Diego Shores and  PNW United.

The United States Club Water Polo Championships is in its sixth year of competition for age groups and uses complete FINA rules.  The entry and selection process for each USCWPC event will be considered by a club’s finish in the previous years' USCWPC results, by finish in the Cal Cup State Finals, previous Junior Olympic competitions and other major tournaments. A five-person event committee will invite teams from other zones to insure regional representation and deal with the fair administration of the championships.

·         The United States Club Water Polo Championships are conducted each year in the designated location/area as listed on the hosts page.

·         Tournaments will be held for four age groups per gender and 12-16 teams per divisions.

·         All entries and seeding will be approved by committee vote.

·         The divisions for boys and girls are as follows: 12th Grade & Under, 10th Grade & Under , 8th Grade  & Under ,6th Grade and 4th grade & Under COED (based on last grade completed, and not upcoming grade this fall).

Event Management and Playing Schedules:
The event will be managed by the tournament committee and the host clubs.  Schedules, scores and final placements as well as future tournament information will be posted on this website.

Invitations will be based on top 8 finishes from last year, finish at California Cup State Finals, at-large/regional, and/or invitation.
